Video’s Parelli Level 4 auditions of Marijn, one of Farrah’s students
To reach a Level 4 Certification, students must have sent in and successfully pass the Level 4 auditions in all the disciplines of Online, Liberty, Freestyle and Finesse. Only 7% of the students that start reach Level 4. No matter if you follow the Parelli method or not this is all about learning the fundamentals of universal and respectful horsemanship. Learning step by step.
The story of Marijn who passed with flying colors working with her horses from scratch through all levels is unique and at the same time encouraging for many riders who have not been exposed to horses from young age.
Marijn Werquin, a European city girl, together with husband Peter De Cabooter owners of The Trapper Creek Ranch and The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch, moved to Wyoming 12 years ago. Initially ignorant and scared of horses her journey in to horsemanship and riding is amazing. Through the concept of AH Horsemanship she started to work with horses, learning from a variety of trainers amongst whom Vaquero Ramon Castro, Kirsten Brein, Parelli Trainer Amie Bowers and others. Amie pointed out the importance of investing a lot of time in learning the basics. She introduced us to Farrah Green.
Working hard and long hours, while being coached by Farrah, Marijn successfully passed through the above Parelli Certifications. Marijn who rides daily between 5 and 8 hours, 8 months of the year taking guests out riding and work cattle on the range, is a testimonial that woman of all ages can reach their full horsemanship potential. She is the best proof that one does not necessarily needs to be raised around horses from young age to do amazing things with horses and become accomplished in horsemanship given hard work and being coached by professionals who really care like Farrah Green.
She is working to get certified on her last discipline, Finesse Level 4, focusing on the basics of classic dressage under the watchful eye of Farrah, an accomplished dressage rider herself.
You may ask yourself how this all applies to Western Riding or your daily riding and working with horses. Just remember that the Spanish brought horses and expertise in riding to North America. Through Mexico, California and Texas horses spread through North America, providing the Indians with their mounts. All accomplished riders worldwide in all disciplines use the same basics. Natural Horsemanship uses the same techniques but adds the principles and language horses use to communicate to each other. Integrating the best of two worlds.
Marijn is the best testimonial and ambassador for our AH Horsemanship Clinics & Trainings and professionalism of Farrah Green at The Trapper Creek Ranch.

The combination of the training, corrals and lodging infrastructure in combination of its location makes our ranch a unique little riding paradise. These videos are made last year when we were still working on our infrastructure.
